Q: can you get high from smoking tea bags???i have heard that you could but i would rather check first ,if so what are the effects of it,are there dangers...?thanks!!!

A: If you smoke enough of almost anything, it's possible to get 'high'. Whether it is oxygen deprivation, lung damage, placebo effect, or some minor alkaloids/compounds in the substance with some effects, it's not unlikely that you'll feel something. Whether or not it is enjoyable or worth it is a different story.

While it may be possible to get a slight effect from smoking the stimulants in tea, most teas will contain no compounds that are significantly more active in smoking form than in a water suspension. So dont expect to get much "higher" than you would by drinking a couple cups of tea.

To the best of our knowledge, there hasn't been any research into the harmful effects of smoking tea. Note that this doesn't mean it isn't harmful, just that that we haven't heard of any formal research.
