Alcohol Use Statistics

In 1993, SAMHSA changed their survey questions regarding alcohol. In previous years, they had asked whether respondents had ever tried any alcohol and in 1993 they changed the question to whether those surveyed had ever drunk "ore than a few sips" of alcohol. In 1993, they asked both questions. The above graph represents this change and the 1993 bar shows that the difference, for that year, would have been around 7% (7% more people report having tried "any" than having tried "more than a few sips".
