  • Many Varieties of Echinacea
    There are several different species of Echinacea, the most common being E. purpurea, E. angustifolia, and E. pallida. E. purpurea is by far the most common cultivated Echinacea species as E. angustifolia and E. pallida are significantly more difficult to grow.

  • Source of the word Echinacea
    The genus name Echinacea comes from the Greek word Echinos which means "hedgehog".
